New Exposed Boundaries Visualization tool in CFD-GEOM |
|
One of the various new features introduced in CFD-GEOM V2009.2 is the ‘Exposed Boundaries’
visualization tool. This tool allows users to quickly visualize those areas where closure
problems remain in an otherwise closed and “watertight” model.
This tool can be activated via the “Exposed Boundaries” button in the rendering toolbar or via
the same option in the View menu.

The tool highlights those boundary curves/edges, which are used by only one surface.
This includes both curves/lines and exposed edges of discrete surfaces.
Figure 2 illustrates how this tool helps in locating openings in a model. The user can change
the highlight color in the 'Edit → Preferences → Colors' menu.
