Below is a link to download "test program 1" and "test program 2" to verify connectivity across nodes using MPICH 1.2.5. 

Note that  MPICH 1.2.5 is not supported from V2010.0 onwards. These programs are provided for users who are still using earlier versions (V2009.4 and earlier). Please refer to your version's Getting Started Guide to obtain details about the test programs.
