The Database Manager of CFD-ACE-GUI allows the user to Import CHEMKIN-III (Sandia Format) general chemical reaction files. Importing Chemkin files is an optional feature and requires a CHEMKIN-TRANS license. Contact your sales engineer to request a quote for this feature.

To import Chemkin files, the user has to perform the following steps:

1. Open the Database Manager from Tools -> Database.

2. Open the Chemkin Manager from File -> Import Chemkin (see figure 1).

3. Specify the User Chemkin Files: Gas Reaction and/or Surface Reaction and/or Thermodynamic and/or Transport (see figure 2).

4. Click on the Process Chemkin files button as shown in figure 2.

Once these files have been imported, all data will appear in the local section of each database (Species, Volume Reactions, Surface Reactions). The volume reaction imported from a Chemkin file is presented in figure 3 below.
