CFD-VisCART has several tools to modify/delete model entities.
Very often it is useful to erase unnecessary entities or clean up dirty geometry in order to simplify it.
There are three available ways to delete entities in CFD-Viscart.
Delete the Selected Items
The simplest and easiest way is to just select items on the screen and hit the "delete" key. This will delete everything that is selected.
Delete Objects Using the Explorer List
In the bottom right corner of the Explorer list there is a Delete button, which can be
used for deleting entities that are shown as currently selected in the Explorer list. That Delete button will only delete items shown in the current list mode. For example, if you are in the "Geom" mode, then only Geometry objects will be deleted.
To select multiple entities and geometries, press and hold the CTRL key and click until all of the
entities you would like to delete have been selected. You can do this in the graphics area or in the Explorer list.

Delete Entity Tool
In some cases it could be difficult to select all of the entities,
which need to be deleted. Users may also need to delete entities that are not listed
in the Explorer list, such as a mesh. For such situations, an advanced deletion tool is available in the main Toolbar. With this tool, you can delete any type of entity in CFD-VisCART.
For example, if you need to delete the unselected outlines, do the following:
- Move the cursor over an outline and click the left mouse button to
select it. The selected outline turns red if has been selected.
- Click the Delete Entity button on the Toolbar, as shown in Figure 3.
- Select the Delete Unselected Outlines option. After confirmation, all unselected outlines are deleted.

You can follow the above steps to also delete critical features, the mesh, sources, and gaps.
