Setting a Rotation Point in CFD-VIEW |
|
In CFD-VIEW, a model rotates about its geometric center by default. For rotating complex models,
this may not be very convenient. CFD-VIEW has a feature that
allows you to set the rotation point at the center of any data object
of your choice.

Copy/Paste Settings Feature in CFD-ACE-GUI |
|
As of V2009.0, CFD-ACE-GUI has the capability to copy/paste settings to similar entities or group of entities within a model, as well as across different models within the same CFD-ACE-GUI window.
This can save on keystrokes when setting up your case. It is especially useful for cases where
settings are repeated. Just enter the desired setting for the first entity, and simply copy and paste
those settings to multiple entities at once.

About Shared Use of the Material Database |
|
In a working group, it may be required to exchange material data between different computers and users.
Both material property and reaction data are stored inside the CFD-ACE+ Database.
This data can be store in different places and allow different access possibilities (privileges) depending on the type of database.

Repairing Imported CAD Geometries in CFD-GEOM |
|
In most cases, importing CAD files in CFD-GEOM results in a clean
geometry that can be directly used for further processing and/or
meshing. However, for complex models, it is possible that the imported
geometry has missing, untrimmed or defective surfaces that need to be
manually repaired.

Cell Size Growth Control in CFD-VisCART |
|
In CFD-VisCART, the Cartesian cells can split or grow by a minimum factor of 2 because
of the intrinsic cartesian-cell-splitting algorithm. Due to this, in some cases,
there is a chance that the mesh could grow from dense (at the wall) to coarse (away from the wall)
within a short distance.
