Abstract
• Cell-based assays are becoming important for drug discovery • Array formats allow next generation to be ultrahigh throughput • ‘Active’ treats cells as objects that have physical properties such as charge or polarizability • This approach may address array time and efficiency • 3D array may address pattern stability and biological stability
